Dr. Farnoosh is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where he earned his M.S. degree and specialty certificate in Periodontology in 1974 and a Ph.D. in Pathology in 1978. He has taught at the University of Southern California (USC) since 1981, where he has held the title of Director of Doctoral and Post-Doctoral courses. He also served as admissions chairman for the School of Dentistry. He was promoted to Tenured Associate Professor in 1988 and subsequently to Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontology.
For several years, Dr. Farnoosh has been included in the Guide to America’s Top Dentists, published by the recent Consumer’s Research Council of America. He has again been chosen for the 2009 Guide to America’s Top Dentists and is honored to be recognized by this highly-regarded national publication.
Dr. Farnoosh has devoted over 25 years to the private practice of dental health, specializing in periodontics and dental implants for Beverly Hills residents. He is a graduate of the American Board of Periodontology, the only board that certifies in the dental specialty of periodontics. Diploma holders are required to maintain certification as both a dentist and periodontist after at least two years of postdoctoral study focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of periodontal diseases. To complement his years in the field, Dr. Farnoosh is a fellow of the American College of Oral Implantology, and maintains memberships in numerous professional organizations such as the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Los Angeles Dental Society, and Beverly Hills Academy of Dentistry.
